Our team

The staff at the front table

The same four people greet your child, run the afternoon and hand your child back to you.

  • Gertrudis Mulero, director, seated on wooden steps in a mustard-colored fleece

    Gertrudis Mulero

    Director

Gertrudis opened Handprint in a ground-floor hall on Appleton Street after many years working with school-age children in Holyoke. She runs the front table at pickup, so she knows every adult on your list, and she speaks Spanish and English with families.

  • Anselma Rentas, homework and reading lead, in a burgundy fleece on wooden cabin steps

    Anselma Rentas

    Homework and reading lead

Anselma leads the Spanish table at homework time and the Thursday reading circle in both languages. She writes each family a note when a child needs help with something, in the language you prefer.

  • Graciano Corchado, gym and games leader, in a teal fleece and khaki cap on a grassy field

    Graciano Corchado

    Gym and games leader

Graciano runs the gym games on Mondays and brings the hand drums out on Tuesdays. He counts every child each time the group moves between rooms, and he speaks Spanish and English with the children.

  • Lian Adorno, homework helper, smiling in a light-blue tee at a wooden table

    Lian Adorno

    Homework helper and art table

Lian sits at the English table at homework time and runs the art table on Wednesdays. She is bilingual and happy to switch whenever a child asks.
